When I lived in the UK, I often had to explain that a person from Luxembourg is called a Luxembourger. This was usually met with giggles, probably because I pretended to bite into a burger whenever I said it. That imaginary burger became the LuxemBurger for this book. I played around with various ideas and here is the one that won it: a juicy meat patty flavoured with Mettwurscht, a smoky sausage from Luxembourg. I also threw some Kachkéis into the mix and topped the whole thing with Sauerkraut to add some tang. A patriotic burger that’s best served with Gromperekichelcher nuggets, obviously!
