Being a big curry aficionado, I thoroughly enjoyed this article (and share your sentiment toward eating insects… unthinkable :P). An enticing story interwoven with captivating images, it was my palate’s passage to Thailand!

Hi Caleb, I hope you like the result of this recipe, it's quite labour-intensive, but so is every proper Thai curry :-) I do mean coconut cream, but if you can't get hold of that get coconut milk (the curry will be slightly less creamy in that case). Let me know how it goes!

Hey Roxsane,
what a great idea! I actually think that they are indeed using those Japanese takoyaki makers to make this! Hmm, yet another kitchen prob I'll need to put on my wish-list! :-)
Thanks for the tip!

to make those lovely little cakes, you could use a Japanese takoyaki maker. They are shaped just like that and may in fact be the exact same thing. They are easy to find here, in Vancouver Canada, so if we can get it in the colonies... ;)

We are planning on leaving this fall and starting out with Asia then hopping over to Europe around summer 2013 - we're hoping to run a travel website which we're putting together now (and still have a lot of work to do) - if you're interested it's http://acoupletravelers.com/
But thanks for the tip about the Thai farm cooking school and I would LOVE any and all London or England based tips or advice!!
