Welcome to Anne’s Kitchen!
Are you hungry? Looking for some inspiration on what to cook/bake next? Or simply wanna hear about my latest food adventures? Then you’re in the right place.
My name’s Anne and I’m a Luxembourg expat living in London, where I follow my food obsessions and work as a journalist. I can’t help it, but food is always in my mind.
When I was little I was in the Scouts. And every honourable little scout had to get these badges for their uniforms, you know, like the “First Aid Badge”, the “Sports Badge” etc, you get the idea. Right, and the other day I stumbled upon my old uniform, and I realized that I only ever received TWO badges! And guess what they were?! The “Cooking Badge” and the “Reporter Badge”. I think I was destined to have a food blog!
So, on Anne’s Kitchen you will discover what I’m eating, making, baking, and the stories that go with it. I try to photograph everything as nicely as possible, and thanks to my lovely Canon 7D (with a 17-55mm 2.8 lens) the pictures mostly come out with some decent depth of field. I like to work with natural light, which means I can only take photos on the weekend or in the morning before heading to work.
As for the recipes. I get inspiration from everywhere and anywhere. Cookery books, magazines, blogs and just walking around the streets of London with all its delicatessen, bakeries and cafes. Food is everywhere, so inspiration never fades.
The website is the brilliant creation of my amazing friend Lawrence, who took the task upon him to design this lovely blog. Huge thanks! You’re the best. I promise to cook and bake for you for like the rest of our lives!
Right, gotta dash off, some Pear and Frangipane Tartelettes are calling from the oven…
x Anne
